He regularly advises corporations, health care networks, hospitals, clinics, satellite emergency facilities, imaging facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, and other entities in a variety of areas, including compliance, business operations, contracts, acquisitions, electronic health records, patient rights, and physician peer review. An important part of his practice involves licensing of health care facilities and services.

An important part of her practice also involves representing both researchers accused of research misconduct and academic research institutions in their investigations of these highly-technical accusations of research fraud.

Adelita Orefice

She brings to her practice more than 20 years’ experience in federal and state government, including service in Rhode Island as Director of Elderly Affairs, Director of Labor and Training, Acting Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and as the state’s senior regulator for the Department of Health. She is certified in healthcare compliance, is a board member for PACE RI, and serves on the Rhode Island State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

Nicole Sexton

Nicole has extensive background in health care regulatory law, representing a range of providers that includes hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, assisted living residences, hospices, home health providers, and ambulatory surgery centers. She counsels providers on regulatory compliance matters involving state and federal agencies, including expertise with Massachu- setts Determination of Need filings.
