Lita stepped away from government service in 2011 to pursue a law degree full-time, an aspiration she put on hold more than 25 years ago. Now she is working hard to complete a 5K run without stopping or getting sick. She enjoys training service dogs as a volunteer for NEADS, knitting hats and scarves for her son who is away at college, and kayaking with her husband on the kettle ponds of Cape Cod.
