Brian Mulcahy

Brian Mulcahy is an associate with Barrett & Singal’s Litigation practice, where he represents individuals and businesses in complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal matters in state and federal court.

Brian has represented individuals, businesses, and quasi-public entities during complex civil disputes involving breaches of contract and fiduciary duties, alleged employer discrimination and retaliation, claims of negligence and invasion of privacy, partnership disputes, and consumer protection matters. He has defended individuals and corporations during the course of investigations by state and federal authorities related to issues including marketplace competition, government contracting, and procurement fraud. Brian also has experience representing professionals facing disciplinary investigations and charges before professional licensing boards.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Barrett & Singal as an associate, Brian worked as a law clerk for the firm’s Litigation Group. While in law school, Brian served as a legal intern to the Honorable Denise J. Casper of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also worked as a law clerk for a firm in Boston and served as a legal intern for the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General in the Government Bureau’s Trial Division. Prior to attending law school, Brian worked for the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted prosecutors and law enforcement agencies with investigation and prosecution of major crimes.
